The Road Bend

On this cold morning, the chilly wind brushing apart,
The city is already awake, the sun is red conquering the dark,
On the lush green trees, the larks sing their songs,
Calling all the city, “Do come along”.
The empty roads, suddenly appreciate crowd,
The shouting engines roared down with proud.
Everyone is rushing thinking of rest & joy,
On the corner stood all alone, a little boy.
All alone in this mad world he decided to toil,
Felt his home beneath the sky and above the soil.
No one in this world he had, to reach out and go,
The mettle in him, he wanted to show.
But he ever knew what will be the endm
Never realized where in eternity he will land.
Strange mix of courage and lonliness his life was a blend,
His only companion in his journey was the Road Bend.

Just Another Day

Bright rays of light falling on the eyes,
A brand new day with hopes too high,
The first feet to start the day are out of the bed
My face and the sun showing spirits in Red.

The start of the day can not be better, I believe,
A good day ahead is all I can percieve,
The world today would be at my stride,
I will go on a seventh heaven ride.

During the day emotions change, with worldy brash,
Life is unfair, rude and harsh,
The little heart filled with hope slowly slumbers,
Life is long but the days are numbered.

The day is gone, The evening light is dim
Cleared away are all my morning fantacies and whim,
The realities of the world dawn on me,
Today a pawn I was Will King I ever be?

The sun is still there glowing red but my face is white,
Spent the day figuring out how to live it right,
One more day of life some memories amassed
Just Another Day has Passed, Just Another Day has Passed.

And The Traffic Continued…

The chilled December wind blew across her face, letting loose silver strands of hair, now flowing over her face. The tightly closed eyes and the head turned towards the shoulders and the back rested against the wall. The wrinkles on her face talked about the miseries of the years and the years of miseries. As I moved towards her, I could see her lying besides the parapet wall of a huge building. Her dirty clothes tightly wrapped around her giving an insight of her very lean, starved figure. I moved another step forward right in front of the large palace like building, which was often referred as the pride of the city. Located across one of the busiest roads of the country, the road was filled with moving traffic at all hours of the day, and the large cars past through the road slowing down for a while to appreciate the largeness of the building and the surrounding. I stood right across the old woman and could also hear her moans of pains which were caused by the chilly winter winds or may be some ailments she was suffering with. I stood across pitying the old women. I was thinking that how inconsiderate our system and our government is, no one can take care of this old woman. Lots of thought critical about the system and trying to tell myself those things would have been different if I would have been the person in-charge. Perhaps the old woman also sensed my presence and opened her eyes, she tried to move a little, but couldn’t move and the voice from her throat was inaudible. Her eyes begged of some consideration and help, seeing me stopping by her eyes had shimmer of hope when she looked towards me. As those eyes met mine, I took a step forward and moved forwards and perhaps I saw a tear dropped from her eyes and the traffic was still moving….

Chennai…Yennala Unna Maraka Mudiyala

The two months have come to an end, My summer internship over will be leaving Chennai tomorrow. It has been once in a life time experience. I never thought that I will be able to like the place. Two months back when I got down on the station and suddenly I felt where the hell i have come all crowde around me people shouting running around, I stood still just trying to figure what is happening, trying to guess on which platform I am. It seemed that these two months would never pass. The time flew by as I could have never guessed, lots of ups and downs, but in this period it has left me with an amazing experience. Great friends, nice place to work, Walks down to the spencer plaza, Spending hours in Landmark going thorugh the books, Regular coffee at Java green (Though my friends here in Tata Indi call it corporate espionage, everytime I go out to have a coffe sip in the Reliance outlet) all my days have been remarkable experience. I dont know that I would ever come back but one thing is for sure I will Never forget Chennai- Yennala Unna Maraka Mudiyala. Some of my memories…

THE LAW of DUALITY

The outstretched fields and the high rise urban building. Vast stretches desert and the deep blue oceans. The two poles of the earth, the elliptical shape and the elliptical orbit of the earth. As a matter of fact this is a strange fact that almost everything that exists in this world has a dual, a symmetric counter part. The first time when I came across this fundamental law knowingly was years back. When I learned about the roots of quadratic equations which are the dual of each other but now I realize almost everything I have learned till now functions according to the law of duality, for a positive number there exist its dual negative number. For every operation which can be applied from as basic as addition an operation called subtraction exists as a dual and even for the complex operations like Integrals there exist there dual in differentials. Somehow there is an uncanny symmetry along every existing thing on earth. Even our bodies are symmetric around the vertical axis passing through the centre. This presence of symmetry around this world sometimes makes me feel strange excitement. One day when I was wondering about this law of duality and its scope I tend to realize that this law of symmetry is not only applicable to quantitave domains like mathematics and physics but also to the subjects as qualitative as social existence of human beings. There is an amazing amount of symmetry in our own social lives and most of our culture and religion are evolved in such a way that they uphold the law of duality. The basis of human existence comes through symmetry through a male and a female. Then the man’s entire life in a normal case is also symmetric, his childhood and old age are duals where he requires care of others but still at one stage he learns and gains experience on the other hand he let other people gain from his experience. Similarly at the youth and adulthood are duals where one is independent but duals in youth where a person has lots of energy and less of practicality on the other hand has low energy but lots of experience. All the social interactions on this planet follow the law of duality.

The law of duality also enlightens the fact that when the two duals interact it leads to a generation of a new world or it encompasses the existing world. If we look at the examples we will find the two poles have in between the whole earth, the elliptical orbit generate seasons (they are also in dual). A male and female interaction produces child (though man has developed ways to interrupt or suspend the process but by default the law of duality holds). So we can see that law of duality is something which spans across almost anything and everything in this universe.

One more topic which I strongly believe is also considerably governed by the law of duality is what we call as love. If we see love as a process then it is nothing but an interaction of two duals, two people who are similar and yet very much different from each other, people who are same in some ways yet opposites of each other. Some facts which support the observation are, firstly there is no person in this world with whom everyone can fall in love, and thus it points to the fact that love is not a phenomenon which can exist between any two people given a set of considerations. The people ought to be duals of each other for the process to trigger. Now another thing that the intensity of love is also dependent across the extent of duality among the partners. The law of duality also suggests to the fact that lovers are generally involved in their own world and limit themselves to themselves, which also confirms to the law of duality that their interaction should generate a new entity or should encompass the existence set. Though there are exceptions due to the extents of duality in the social scenarios being immeasurable and qualitative, but still on the holistic picture we can very well see the Law of duality holding true.

FAREWELL TO THE COUNCIL

The day has come finally, my life has decided to take a turn. After one of the best staged dramas of my life, of course this one was directed by me. The final act has been done and I stand outside the “student driven” system of the institute. It has been enough of driving for past one year. The ride was fun with lots of fun people coming around but the final act could have been so rewarding I would have never thought. I always believed that MBA is a place to have fun you dont make friends who would stand by you through your life, obviously not when you look the cut throat competition which prevails. But somehow life is to o keen to teach me all her antithesis of my beliefs. This time by giving me people whom I would cherish throughout my life.

Now there would be no workload, no rushing, no hate mails from Reena and Disha, no meetings, no other side of the lab, no Yahoo access in the college. No emergencies, no lab shifts, no conking printers, no fading WiFi everything is gone and all is left is me with and experience which I would never forget, with friends would remain there forever in my life…..Bbye Council.

And for you two:
I’m never gonna say goodbye
Cos I never wanna see you cry
I swore to you my love would remain
And I swear it all over again and I
I’m never gonna treat you bad
Cos I never wanna see you sad
I swore to share your joy and your pain
And I swear it all over again

Summers in December

My summers have finally arrived in the starting of winters. Yes, I finally got an offer for my summer placements from Tata Teleservices. Today was a rocking start as our IT team had to cover 5 presentations for the day. My day started with a usual run between our IT LAB which is on the fourth floor to our auditorium which is on ground floor but we have to climb down to the basement for the entrance. So amongst all this chaos of mics audio cables and LCD’s I attended a sleep inducing ppt trying to be awake. Soon after the ppt I was told that I was shortlisted for NDTV process and I rushed through the lab and the room no. 13 to check the details. My pulse was rocking and I sat with Vikram and Vishay discussing questions like what are my strengths and weakness and why I want to leave IT and join media (though we framed a decent answer but still I can’t think of a valid reason that why on earth would anyone like to leave an IT company to join a TV channel) and then after this brief session of introspection I hobbled up to the lab (don’t ask me that how I manage to keep my fat when I climb so Many stairs, you can do your PhD on that) and struggled with the computer to get all relevant data about their Mcap, CAGR, Market Share, Competition, Industry Analysis etc. I came down mugging all these figures. At that time perhaps I knew the figures like they were the only thing that would be asked by them. There to my surprise on the board was my name making a proud announcement that I have “cracked Summers” with Tata Teleservices!!!!
Wow life rocks, things changed I went like an Idiot all over the college telling people as if I got a jackpot. Finally I reached the second ppt and then after all that I kept my promise and I brought cake for my IT team , I was so clever that I brought chocolate as I like more than Black forest and as a perfect team does they made it a point that all that cake should be as close to my mouth and my hairs and the ordeal continued until there wasn’t a place left to smear the cake. after then we had a lot of chit chat. Well the day was a rocking one. I hope what tomorrow has in store for me. Till then Sayonara!!!

Two Days@ SIBM

A brand new day, though another manic Monday but also the start of another brand new semester, with brand new class (for me at least), and brand new classmates. You must be wondering why I am using the word brand so much, that’s because we have been divided into three section according to our specialization so was trying to put some marketing in the daily life ;). The first day was good with our slooow stats professor, but the luck was on our side and we had an action packed class with pigeons flying around, driving some of our batchmates for an out-class run. The day was unusually short with two lectures after the lunch being cancelled and I had a nice time relaxing and catching up with friends and the stories about their holidays. The things are coming back to normal why??? I got to configure wi-fi on one of the laptops….but mind you WI-FI IS WORKING. I know I am a bit sentimental about it can’t help it have spent lot of cribbing about this faulty!!!! I mean flaunty (that’s what we do in all of presentations and website write ups- flaunt our wi-fi) little system.
The second day was even better, imagine a situation where you are on the operation table and a doctor stands with a huge knife in his hands and tells you that you can’t be provided with anesthesia as it’s not available in the hospital and since hospital has already taken the operation fee so you are going to have an operation right now without an anesthesia and you can shove all your pain wherever you want to… It was a similar situation when our prof for management control system entered our class and told us that he finds the idea of us doing the subject funny as we haven’t done the pre-requisite subject before. To add more to the taste he tells us that we will complete the pre-requisite all by ourselves as the mcs thing is already in our syllabus. Quite a genuine reasons… god help us. So SIBM is rocking back and tomorrow the whole of our marketing class is waiting with their fingers crossed for Wednesday morning 10:30 a.m. for the macroeconomics class by Nikhil’s (for those who don’t know him visit http://nikmuse.blogspot.com/) favourite and loving Harinita Ma’am. Adieu!!!
